Intimate Mayhem is a collection of assemblages, sculptures, relief-art and dioramas, inspired (in and around) the onslaught of Covid-19, the dismantling of a tyrant Presidency, the aftermath of the George Floyd killing, and the individual will to remain present, while under lockdown in an unpredictable and politicalized world. It seemed at times, the only escape from the horrors, was to sit on my back porch, and watch birds come and go, walk to Walgreens, Zoom, and make art, while in isolation.
With this collection of work, I attempt to give narrative to those moments; diary entries, turned tangible, for all to ponder, discard, and contemplate again, in a forever changing and unpredictable world.
